About FFPD
Fosterburg Fire Protection District is located in Northwestern Madison county in the state of Illinois. We protect an area North of Alton, East of Godfrey, and South of Brighton. The department was formed in 1971 by a group of citizens concerned for the safety of those living in Foster township. The first engine was purchased and housed in what now is the township highway department. In 1979 station one was constructed. 1990 brought an addition of a second station. Current day the department has two stations which are staffed 24/7 and have capabilities of responding with an array of apparatus and equipment. Both stations have an engine, rescue, and brush unit. Station one also houses a reserve engine and air truck.
