Membership Options
Full Member Volunteers
Volunteers are on call via the use of pagers. They can respond directly to emergency scenes or to the nearest station. Volunteers are required to live either in district or in any connecting city, township or village.
Duty Shift Volunteers
Duty shift volunteers have no residency restrictions, however, they are not on call for emergencies and will not be issued a pager. Duty shift volunteers schedule themselves to work a minimum of 24 hours a month at either of the stations. They may be called in the event of a large incident.
Operators & Dispatchers
Operators are on call and trained to take over pump operations at emergency scenes. They are responsible for maintaining proper water flow and supply.
Dispatchers are on call and respond to the station as needed. They operate the radio and phones as well as log radio traffic.
Auxiliary Personnel
Auxiliary personnel help take care of the community, the department, and its members. Responsibilities can include fund raising, public education, office/secretarial, building and grounds maintenance, or Transporting hot or cold drinks to emergency scenes.
